Lynn's Incredible Lasagna

EVERYONE who had my mom's lasagna went bonkers. I had lost her recipe and my sister found her handwritten copy (we lost her to cancer). This stuff is fabulous!

Ingredients

  • 2 t. seasoned salt
  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 t. pepper
  • 1 #2 1/2 can tomatoes (29 oz.)
  • 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 pkg. spaghetti sauce mix
  • 1/2 lb. lasagna noodles
  • 1/2 lb. mozzarella cheese
  • cottage cheese
  • parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Brown chuck in seasoned salt in deep kettle. Add garlic and pepper; simmer slowly, uncovered, about
10 mins. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, and pkg. sauce mix. Cover and simmer 30 mins.

Cook lasagna noodles in water until tender. Drain.

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange in 12 x 8 x 2 baking dish:

Sauce
Noodles
Mozzerella
Cottage Cheese

Repeat layers ending with meat sauce. Top with Parmesan cheese. Bake about 20 mins.
