Cheezy bacon cream biscuits

  • 2 c self rising flour
  • 1 1/2 T sugar
  • 1 1/2 c heavy whipping cream plus 2 T
  • 2/3 c cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 2/3 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 T cream to brush tops



Step 1

heat oven to 450
line baking sheet with parchment
in mixing bowl combine sugar and flour-add 1 1/2 c plus 2 T of cream
stir together until moistened and add cheese and bacon
turn dough onto floured surface and using floured hands pat into a rough circle about 1/2 to 3/4 in thick..silpat makes it easier-dont knead
use 3 inch dipped in flour yields 7 biscuits
place on baking sheet
brush tops w additional cream
bake 13 mins till golden
