Pan Fried Tilapia

Very simple and tasty. I like to use Goya Adobo All Purpose Seasoning. You could use just salt and pepper or a seafood seasoning, as well. It is one of Marty's favorites.

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons Goya Adobo All Purpose Seasoning
  • 1 1/2 pounds fresh tilapia fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Combine flour and Adobo seasoning, salt and pepper. Add the tilapia and lightly coat each side. Shake off any excess seasoned flour.
Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the tilapia on both sides, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Place tilapia on a baking sheet that is lined with parchment paper and bake for 5 to 7 minutes, depending on thickness.
