Gets a delicious crispy golden crust on top, bottom and sides. Yum! Got this recipe from "Food & Family" by Kraft.

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted, divided
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided

Step 1

Heat oven to 425. Rinse potatoes; pat dry with paper towels. Brush 1 tablespoon butter onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate. I made these a long time ago when I had a bunch of people over. Lost the recipe so I'm very glad you posted it. Looking forward to making them again.7

Have made this several times and it's a favourite way to prepare potatoes. Easily serves 4 because they're so good. I've baked this an extra 10 minutes with the temp down to 400F for the last 1/2 hour. Yukon Gold's are a good choice but most potatoes will work fine. Thin, thin slices work the best, lots of them, just keep layering. Thanks for posting.

Nice recipe that we really liked. I was able to prep this ahead of time, and the flavor was fine. It did turn brown though, so I added some mozzarella cheese to the top to cover that up. We liked it quite a bit. Thanks for sharing!

I followed instructions axaclty as listed with mouth watering results. Delicious potato dish!!

Quite possibly the best potatoes I've ever made. My boyfriend and his family (and myself!) gobbled them up. They were great alongside homemade chicken strips. The parmesan flavor was fantastic, next time I might add even more!

I was really impressed with this dish, it tastes great while having much less fat than most potato dishes. It turned out perfectly too, crusty on top but tender. I didn't tell hubby that I considered it a diet dish, and he complimented me highly on it.

I didn't have any fresh chives to put on this and a 30 mile trip into town was out. These turned out to be nice potatoes, but next time will season with some salt, pepper, and maybe even some minced garlic to add some additional flavor. Thank You Coffee for a recipe that with those changes I will be making again.

Simplicity at it's best. Since there was only 2 of us for dinner, I only used 2 large potatoes and left everything else as is. Delicious.

FANTASTIC way to cook potatoes. These were so simple to make and I had all the ingredients at home. The potatoes come out crsipy on one side and tender underneath. The amount of butter and parmesan are perfect. The flavor is pure, simple and oh-so-delicious. I highly recommend this!

Such simple and wonderful flavors and the chives really make this special, so don't leave them out! I only used 1 potato and it took about 35 minutes at 350 degrees. I usually add salt, pepper, and onions to my potatoes, but I made this recipe as written (OK, so I did sub Smart Balance for the butter) and it was PERFECT. I actually enjoyed them for breakfast today. . .yummo!

Delicious, quick and easy. The parmesan works so well in this dish. Will definitely make again.

This is a very good and easy to make potato side dish. I sliced the potatoes in my food processor and it worked well.

Another fine recipe from CoffeeBarista. I love, love, love potatoes as does DH. I made this for dinner the other night along with London Broil and fresh brocolli. YUMMMMMMMMY The cheese zips the potatoes and gives them a great flavor with so little effort. Thank you! ps- next batch gong to trygrlic and parm for a twist.
