- 3 tablespoons Japa into the steamernese soy sauce

Step 1
For the teriyaki sauce:
Mix the soy sauce, mirin, 1 tablespoon sugar and gingerroot together in a small saucepan. Heat over low heat stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside.
Rinse salmon with cold water and pat dry with paper towel. Marinate salmon in teriyaki sauce for at least 20 minutes. . CheckPlace fish, skin side down, in a shallow heatproof dish that will fit comfortably into the steamer. Reserve remaing marinade and pour it back into the saucepan. Set aside.
Bring water to a fast boil in the wok. Place dish in the steamer and position steamer over the wok. Cover steamer over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes
