Gayle's Orange Chicken Sauce

This is a work in progress. I'm trying to create a sauce that I like for Orange Chicken.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons orange juice concentrate
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Tamari soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, grated or pressed
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon tapioca flour or cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Preparation

Step 1

Put first 8 ingredients in saucepan, whisk occasionally while bringing to a boil.

Make a slurry from tapioca flour/cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water and whisk into the boiling mixture.
