Spinghe - Sfingi

Ingredients

  • 2 c milk
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 7 eggs
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Bring first two ingredients to a boil.
Sift flour and bp 4 or 5 times

Take boiled milk with butter off stove and add flour. Mix quickly.

Put in bowl and beat adding eggs 2 to 3 at a time. Drop in hot oil until brown.

Batter will feel sticky.

Serve with drizzled honey and powdered sugar.

*Always use fresh baking powder.
