Ingredients
- 4 large egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
Step 1
In a medium sized saucepan whisk your egg yolks, sugar and 3/4 cup of the heavy cream on a medium-low heat, stirring constantly for about 3-4 minutes, careful not to let it boil.
Remove from heat and pour into a bowl. Add in the melted chocolate and vanilla and mix it together.
Chill the mixture for 1 hour.
In a bowl beat together your heavy cream and sugar until stiff peaks form.
Mix the whipped cream into the chocolate mix and serve!
