Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. sausage
- 2 strips bacon, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 1/2 tea. Italian seasoning
- 3/4 tea. dried oregano
- 3/4 tea. crushed red pepper
- 1/2 tea. salt
- 1/2 tea. garlic salt
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Dash of hot sauce, to taste
- 1/3 cup skim milk
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup plain or seasoned dried bread crumbs
Preparation
Step 1
Mix together beef, sausage, onion Italian seasoning, oregano, red pepper, salt, garlic salt, Worcestershire and hot sauce in a bowl with your hands until combined well. Add milk, Parmesan and bread crumbs and mix until evenly combined.
Pat out in a rectangle and cut into 20 cubes. Roll each cube into a meatball. (I weighted each cube and made 2 oz. meatballs)
I used the 12 meatball pan for the grill and also used the broiler pan (lined with foil) I placed the meatball pan on a sheet of foil (formed up the sides) to catch the fat.
Start the Tra3eger on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4-5 minutes) Set the temperature to 350 degrees and preheat, with the lid closed, 10-15 minutes.
Grill for 25-30 minutes or until temperature of the meatball reaches 160 degrees. Let them rest 5 minutes.
Serve with marinara sauce.
