Ingredients
- 3 cups scalded milk (1 can evaporated milk and the rest whole milk)
- 4 eggs slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- freshly ground nutmeg

Preparation
Step 1
Temper eggs with scalded milk.
Add all other ingredients, except nutmeg.
Strain ingredients through a mesh strainer into a glass med sized bowl or
Individual glass crocks.
Sprinkle freshly ground nutmeg on top.
Put dish in larger pan with enough water to go 1/3rd of the way up.
You'll know its done when knife inserted comes out clean.
