I am one of the millions who find it hard to go back to sleep once I am awakened at night. One easy solution is to change the night-light bulb to green or blue. The colored bulbs provide enough light, but do not seem to glare like the white ones do.

Another solution to the fluorescent-green numerals on my alarm clock that are too bright is to plop a tissue box in front of the clock. It is easy to lift up if I need to see the time, but the bright numerals don’t wake me up when I roll over at night! Cheap and simple solutions to a problem that many of us deal with.
