Ingredients
- Vegetables
- 1 16-oz. bag any type frozen vegetables, cooked, reserving liquid
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 Tbs. butter
- Mornay Sauce
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup liquid from vegetables
- 1/4 cup Parmesan
- pinch nutmeg
- pinch thyme
- 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 Tbs. white wine
- Topping
- 2 cups croutons
- 3 Tbs. melted butter
Preparation
Step 1
Cook vegetables according to directions. Season with salt, garlic salt and butter.
Sauce- Melt butter in pan. Blend in flour and add liquid gradually, stirring constantly. add milk, salt, Parmesan, nutmeg, thyme, garlic salt, and white wine. Simmer about 5 minutes.
Place vegetables in a casserole dish, cover with sauce, and top with croutons. Drizzle butter over top. Bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes, then broil until croutons are crispy.
