Linda's Cauliflower Mornay

Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 1 1/2 cup med rich cream sauce (receipe below)
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 2/3 cup buttered bread crumbs

Preparation

Step 1

Cream sauce: 3 TBL butter & 3 Tble flour with 1/2 tsp. salt for rue. Next add 3/4 cup milk and 3/4 cup cream and heat until thick. Note - make sauce after you prepare cauliflower

Break cauliflower into flowerets and steam in 1 inch boiling salted water until crispy tender. Drain and place in 8x10 inch baking dish. Cover with 1/2 cup shred cheese, then sauce. finish with remaining 1/2 cup cheese top with bread crumbs

Bake in 350 oven until hot and bubbly.
