  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 (16.5-ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 eggs

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Coat a 9- x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, combine walnuts, sugar, and cinnamon; mix well and set aside.

In a large bowl, beat cake mix, sour cream, water, and eggs until well combined. Spread half the batter in prepared baking dish, sprinkle with half the nut mixture, then repeat layers.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly then cut into squares and serve warm, or allow to cool completely before serving.
