Ingredients
- 3 C sugar
- 3 1/2 C flour
- 1/2 t ground cloves
- 1 T cinnamon
- 1 t nutmeg
- 2 t baking soda
- 2/3 C water
- 1 C salad oil
- 4 eggs
- 2 C canned pumpkin (16 oz.)
- chocolate chips, optional
Preparation
Step 1
Sift together dry ingredients. Add other ingredients. Mix with mixer thoroughly. Pour batter into 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 350 for 1 hour or more until loaf tests done in center. Store each loaf in plastic bag and allow to age for 24-48 hours before serving.
Note: for mini-muffins bake at 350 for 14 minutes, for mini-loaves bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
