Creamy Beef and Cabbage

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
- 1 medium head cabbage, cored and coarsely chopped (8 cups)
- 1 (8 oz) carton light dairy sour cream
- 1 cup shredded American cheese (4 oz)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375. In a very large ovenproof skillet, cook beef and onion until meat is brown. Drain off fat. Stir in cabbage. Cover and cook over medium heat about 10 minutes or until cabbage is crisp-tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in sour cream, cheese, salt, and pepper. In a small bowl combine bread crumbs and melted butter; sprinkle over casserole. Bake uncovered, about 20 minutes or until heated through.
