√Italian Cookies (Marie Gould)

Ingredients

• 4 eggs
• 1 cups sugar
• 1/2 cup milk
• 2 1/2 tblsp. anise
• 1 1/2 tblsp. lemon
• 3/4 cup Crisco
• 1 cup AP flour - more as needed
• 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs, add sugar, etc. Add flour, 1 cup to start with. Mix to a heavy cookie dough.
Mix confectioners sugar and milk to frost cookies.

Bake at 400 for 15 minutes.
