  • 1 breakfast sausage patty
  • 2-3 cups frozen tater tots
  • 1 egg, fried
  • 4 strips bacon
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • Ketchup, to garnish

Preparation

Step 1

Grease a waffle iron with nonstick spray and heat it up.
Evenly spread 2 layers of tater tots across the iron, and close it firmly for approximately 5-8 minutes (or until the tater tots are golden brown). Remove and set aside.
Heat a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. Cook the breakfast sausage patty, and add the American cheese 2-3 minutes before removing the patty. Remove and set aside.
In the same saucepan, add the bacon slices and cook until crisp. Remove and set aside.
In a separate, smaller saucepan, add butter and fry the egg. Set aside.
Spread 1 tablespoon of ketchup on one of the tater tot waffle corners, and follow with the sausage-cheese patty, bacon, fried egg, and remaining tater tot waffle corner. Serve immediately.
