Ingredients

  • You’ll Need (for the cake):

    cups of all-purpose flour.

    cups of sugar.

  • 1/2

    tsp of baking soda.

  • 1

    tsp of salt.

  • 1

    cup of butter.

  • 1

    cup of water.

  • 1/4

    cup of creamy peanut butter.

  • 2

    beaten eggs.

  • 1

    tsp of vanilla extract.

  • 1/2

    cup of buttermilk.

  • You’ll Need (for the icing):

  • 1/2

    cup of butter.

  • 1/4

    cup of creamy peanut butter.

  • 1/3

    cups plus 1 tbsp of milk.

  • 1

    (16 oz) package of powdered sugar.

  • 1

    tsp of vanilla extract.

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350° and grease a 15×10 jelly-roll pan. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, salt and baking soda. In a saucepan melt together the butter, water and peanut butter over medium heat and bring to a boil. Pour the butter mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until well combined. In a separate bowl, mix together the eggs, vanilla and buttermilk then add to the batter. Spread the batter in the pan and bake for 25 to 28 minutes. To make the peanut butter icing, melt the butter, peanut butter and milk in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and mix in powdered sugar and vanilla until well combined. Spread the icing over the cake while it’s still warm and enjoy! Easy, peasy and creamy!
