Wilted Lettuce

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 teas. salt
  • 1 Tbs. cornstarch
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. water

Preparation

Step 1

Fry bacon slowly in saucepan. Once browned, add sugar, salt & cornstarch. Mix thoroughly. Add beaten egg & vinegar, mixing well. Lastly add water to bacon mixture to desired thickness. Pour over garden lettuce.
