    whole chicken

  • 6

    lemons...1 cut in half and 5 sliced wedges (thin)

  • 1

    head of garlic

  • 2

    lg. onions

  • olive oil

  • salt and pepper

  • ½

    c chicken broth

  • ½

    c white wine

  • 1

    tbls. flour


Pat chicken dry. Rub oil and salt and pepper. Stuff with head of garlic (slice off top) and 1 lemon sliced in half. In a bowl mix together onions and lemon slices with oil and salt and pepper. Add to pan with chicken. Cook at 350 for about 2 hours or until very browned. Check with thermometer. Remove chicken and cover tightly. Set aside. On stove top remove lemons,and onions. add wine,broth and flour and cook till it thickens. Put onions and lemons back and serve with chicken
