Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 dash of salt
- 1 Tbsp White sugar
- 1/2 cup cold butter (4 oz.)
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar. Cut in 1/2 cup butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Mix in the buttermilk. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead until it comes together. Roll onto lightly floured surface to a 1/2 thickness. Then cut using 2 5/8 biscuits cutter.
Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven,until lightly browned and serve hot.
