Preparation

Step 1

1. Prepare pastry for a 9 " 2 Crust Pie. Line pan with 13 inch circle of Aluminum foil leaving one inch hanging over the edge. Spread butter over the bottom and sides of foil. Press approximately 30 halves of Pecans around the sides and press down in the butter (I chop the Pecans). Gently pack the Br. Sugar down in the butter.

2. Roll an 11 " Crust and ease into the Pie Pan. Combine; Apples, Sugar, Flour, Cinnamon, and Nutmeg. Pile mixture over crust in pan. (Dampen the edge of the Pie crust with a little water (very little water.) Cover with top crust, seal and flute. Prick top of Pie with fork to allow steam to escape. Bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees. Decrease to 375 degrees and bake 35-40 minutes longer. (until Apples are done.)

3. Remove from Oven; let stand 5 minutes. Invert on serving plate. Serve warm if you wish topped with Whip cream.
