Gooey Chocolate Pudding Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c flour
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 3/4 t baking powder
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/3 c milk
  • 1 T oil
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1/4 c nutella
  • 1/3 c semisweet chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/3 c semisweet cocoa powder
  • 3/4 c boiling water
  • Ice cream (optional)
  • Sliced strawberries (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. In a medium bowl, combine flour, 1/4 c sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk, oil and vanilla. Whisk until smooth. Stir in nutella and chocolate pieces.
Divide batter evenly among six 5-8 oz. ramekins. Place in 15x10x1" baking pan. Set aside. In the same medium bowl, stir together the 1/2 c sugar and the cocoa. Gradually stir in the boiling water. Pour evenly over batter dishes.
Bake uncovered 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Serve warm with ice cream and/or strawberries, if desired, and sprinkle additional cocoa powder.
