Cabbage & Potato Gratin

Yum, this Cabbage & Potato Gratin is one of my favorite side dishes to prepare. Not only does it taste amazing, it's really easy to make. My family enjoys it frequently and am sure you and yours will too once you give it a try. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds Yukon gold potatoes, sliced thin
- 1 medium head cabbage, cored and shredded
- 1/2 cup Gruyere, shredded
- 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons thyme, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Butter a 3 quart baking dish.
In two layers add thinly sliced Yukon gold potatoes, cabbage and Gruyere cheese.
In a bowl combine whipping cream, thyme, garlic and salt. Pour over cabbage.
Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover, bake 15 minutes more. Sprinkle with olive oil and bake for 15 minutes more or until golden brown.
