Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 1/2 pounds Yukon gold potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium head cabbage, cored and shredded
- 1/2 cup shredded Gruyere
- 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Preparation
Step 1
Butter a 3-qt. baking dish. In two layers add Yukon gold potatoes, cabbage, and Gruyere. In a bowl combine whipping cream, chopped thyme, garlic, and salt; pour over cabbage.
Cover; bake at 425 degrees F for 30 minutes. Uncover; bake 15 minutes more. Sprinkle with panko mixed with olive oil. Bake 15 minutes more until golden brown.
