Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter, softened
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. crushed chocolate wafer cookies (such as Oreos)
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine butter and sugars. Beat with a handmixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, and beat until evenly combined. Stir in vanilla.
In a small bowl, whisk together baking soda, flour and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
Using a medium-sized ice cream scoop, place mounds of cookie dough on a the baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. (The cookies will spread.) Bake for about 10-12, until the edges of the cookies begin to turn golden.
Let cool for 5 minutes on baking sheet, then transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
