Ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, drained and cut up
- 1 pkg. Carroll Shelby’s Original Texas Brand Chili Preparation
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, undrained

Step 1
Brown meat in 5 quart Dutch oven; drain. Add onions, celery and peppers; cook until tender. Add tomatoes, spice packet and salt packet; mix well. Bring to boil; reduce heat. Cover; simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Gradually add water to masa four (yellow packet), stirring until well blended. Add to meat mixture; stir in beans. Continue simmering 15 minutes. Add cayenne pepper packet to taste. Eight 1-cup servings.
