Ingredients
- 3 lbs crab apples
- 2 lbs sugar
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup stick cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons whole cloves

Step 1
Wash crab apples and remove blossom ends, but do not remove stems. Have ready syrup made by boiling sugar, vinegar and water 5 minutes. Add spices, then add few crab apples, with 1 or 2 cloves pressed into each apple. Cook until softened. Put cooked apples into hot sterilized jars. When all are cooked, fill screw top jars to overflowing and seal at once. Fill Kerr jars to within 1/2 inch of top.
