Ingredients
- Topping:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cup coarsely chopped, pared apples
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 1/2 cup each of brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp. flour

Preparation
Step 1
Sift dry ingredients; add apples. Combine liquid ingredients and add, mixing just enough to moisten.
Turn into buttered muffin tins. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle on top of muffins. Bake at 375 degree oven about 20 minutes, or until delicately browned.
Note: Do not use cupcake papers as muffins will stick to them.
