Ingredients

  • Cook Rice:
  • To get started, you’ll need cooked rice. We recommend that you start your rice first.
  • 3 6 cups sushi rice (or reg white rice) This will yield 6 cups of cooked rice in rice cooker
  • Make Ahi Poke:
  • 3 3 3 lbs. ahi or less
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup sesame seed oil
  • 1 1/2 1 1/2 1/2 tbsp. black or white sesame seeds
  • 1 1/2 1 1/2 1/2 tbsp. minced garlic
  • 3/4 3/4 3/4 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 1 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup sugar
  • Toss all ingredients in a mixing bowl; set aside.
  • Make Lettuce Cucumber Radish Sprouts Slaw:
  • 2 2 2 English cucumbers (thinly sliced)
  • 1 1 1 package of bean sprouts
  • 1 1 1 head of red leaf lettuce shredded or spring mix
  • 1 1 1 white tubular daikon thinly shredded
  • 1 1 5 hand full wakame (soak in warm water for 5 mins, drained) if you can find it
  • Toss all salad in a mixing bowl; set aside.
  • Make Sweet Egg Omelet:
  • 4 4 4 eggs
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup of water
  • 3 3 3 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 3 3 3 teaspoons sugar
  • Pinch Pinch of salt and pepper
  • Oil
  • Make the Spicy Sauce:
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup gochujang (Korean spicy soybean paste) Red tub
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1.5 1.5 1.5 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1 1 1 tbsp. minced garlic
  • 2 2 2 tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 1 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
  • Make the Garnish:
  • 4 4 4 oz. of tobiko – flying fish roe (orange)
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup white sesame seeds (toasted)
  • Make the Fried Green Onions:
  • 1 1 1 bunch of fresh green onions, shredded thinly
  • to to the rice with salt
  • 30 3mins couple of pounds of Korean type short ribs (boneless) from the H Mart. Marinade 30 mins. in Korean beef BBQ sauce. Cook on the grill, 3mins each side.

To Serve:
Place the lettuce cucumber radish sprouts slaw salad at the bottom of shallow bowls. Place 1 seasoned rice ball on top. Place ahi poke tuna around the rice. Ladle in 3 tbsp. of the spicy sauce on the plate to form a circle shape. On rice, arrange egg mixture, tobiko
