Savory Party Bread*

Ingredients

• 1 lb unsliced round loaf sourdough bread
• 1 lb Monterey Jack Cheese, sliced
• 1/2 stick margarine, melted
• 1/2 cup chopped green onions
• 2-3 tsp. poppy seeds

Preparation

Step 1

Cut the bread lengthwise and crosswise without cutting through the bottom of the crust. Insert cheese between cuts. Combine margarine, onions and poppy seeds; drizzle over bread. Wrap in tin foil; place on baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes. Uncover; bake 10 minutes longer or until the cheese is melted.
