Dessert/Pear Cranberry Crisp

Ingredients

  • 4 cups thinly sliced, peeled pears(about 3# or 7 pears)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 1/4 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 1/4 cupmaple syrup
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 stick butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vailla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place pear slices in a large bowl; sprinkle with cornstarch, tossing well. Stir in cranberries and the next 6 ingredients. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 11X 7 inch baking dish.

To prepare topping: combine oats an next four ingredients in a medium bowl; stir in butter and vanilla, mixing well. Sprinkle topping in an even layer over pear pear mixture. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake for 15 more minutes or until topping is golden and fruit mixture is bubbly.
