Ingredients
- 100 grams air-popped popcorn ( grams unpopped weight)
- 30 grams sugar, divided
- 5 grams honey
- 10 grams salted butter, if on hand
- 1 tablespoon mild chili powder or five-spice powder
- 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
- 1 tablespoon peanut or olive oil
- generous pinch of Maldon salt, if not using salted butter
Preparation
Step 1
Put half the sugar, the honey, butter, spices, oil and mustard in the Actifry and cook for 1 minute. Add the popcorn and cook for 5 minutes. Add the rest of the sugar and cook for 2 minutes.
Remove the popcorn to a bowl or bowls and allow to cool a little so that the mustard caramel hardens slightly.
