Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs until frothy; add milk and butter. Slowly add flour and salt. Batter should be light, but not foamy. If lumpy, strain. Generously oil 4 oz. or 6 oz. custard cups. Fill to within ½” of top. Bake at 400° until well done and brown, 45 minutes to 1 hour. When done, cut “X” in top to release steam. Bake 5 minutes more. Serve hot, but not covered.
