Glazed Ham with All Purpose Maple Glaze

The sweetness of maple, the fresh taste of orange and just a hint of mustard meld together beautifully in this reduced sugar all-purpose glaze. The perfect complement to an Easter ham, it's equally delicious when brushed on pork tenderloin, salmon fillets or a roast chicken.
Ingredients
- Glaze:
- 1 5-7 pound cooked ham
- Whole cloves (optional)
- 1/2 cup sugar-free maple flavored syrup
- 1/2 cup reduced-sugar orange marmalade
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons whole grain or Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Preparation
Step 1
Remove ham from refrigerator and let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Place ham cut side down in a roasting pan, cover with foil, and cook for 1-1 1/4 hours or until 140 degrees F.
While ham is cooking, whisk together all glaze ingredients except cornstarch in a small pot.
Mix cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and add to pot. Place pot over medium heat and bring to a low simmer. Cook for 2 minutes or until mixture is smooth and has thickened.
Remove ham from oven, remove foil, and cover with 3/4 of the glaze. Turn oven temperature up to 425 degrees F and return ham to oven. Cook for 20 minutes, baste with remaining glaze and cook for 10 more minutes or until glaze bubbles. Remove from oven and let set 15-20 minutes before serving.
