Ingredients
- 1 cup vegan margarine*
- 1 cup demerara or brown sugar
- ¾ cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- The equivalent of 2 eggs using egg
- replacer powder**
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups vegan semi sweet chocolate
- chips
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream margarine and sugar until fluffy. Add the flour, salt and baking soda and mix well. Add vanilla and
egg replacer mixture, blend well. Stir in chocolate chips.
Form dough into small balls and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 9-12 minutes.
Cool on baking sheets for about 5 minutes and then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
*Whenever you have to cream or beat margarine it should be soft, so if the margarine you are using is hard,
let it sit out at room temperature for a while to soften before using.
**The powder to water ratio will vary depending on what brand of egg replacer you use.
