Ingredients
- 1 jar of jovial organic chickpeas
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Step 1
Drain chickpeas over a medium bowl to catch the cooking liquid.
Add chickpeas, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt to the bowl of a food processor.
Process until you have a stiff paste. Drizzle 3 tablespoons of reserved cooking liquid while pulsing the machine until the paste smooths out.
Garnish with a bit of oil and serve
Recipe Notes:
I like to add a drizzle of olive oil on top before serving. I like to keep my hummus simple and generally skip the tahini. If you love tahini, add 2 tablespoons in step 2.
