Ingredients

  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups pumpkin
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 9" unbaked pie shell

Step 1

Mix ingredients in order listed and pour into pie shell.


Bake @ 425 for 15 minutes and then reduce temperature to 350 and continue to bake for 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Cool and serve with whipped cream.

Optional Pecan Topping:

Mix 1 cup chopped pecans with 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar. Drizzle with 3 tbsp. melted butter, stir until moistened. Sprinkle over cooled pumpkin pie. Broil about 5 inches from heat for 1 -2 minutes or until topping is bubbly. Serve warm or let cool and serve with whipped cream.
