Instant Pot Applesauce

5 mins prep + 6 ingredients to make this easy applesauce in an Instant Pot. Sweet, warm, cinnamon-spiced applesauce is perfect as a side dish, snack or for breakfast.
Ingredients
- 3 pounds apples, quartered, peeled or unpeeled (we used Organic Gala Apple)
- 1 to 2 cinnamon stick(s)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- Honey, to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Place cinnamon stick(s), nutmeg, water and quartered apples into the pressure cooker. Close the lid and cook at High Pressure for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and Natural Release. Open the lid carefully.
Remove cinnamon stick(s) and blend the applesauce into desired consistency with an immersion blender. Taste the applesauce and add a pinch of salt. Add honey to taste.
Note: Apples vary widely in their texture and flavors. Be sure to adjust the sweetness/tartness to your liking. You can use honey to sweeten, and lemon juice or apple cider vinegar to add tartness.
