Ingredients

  • 1 lb. of sausage, cooked and drained
  • 8 large Russet potatoes, sliced
  • 2-3 large onions, diced
  • 1/4 c. bacon bits
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 c. Kale, washed and torn into small pieces
  • 64 oz. chicken broth
  • 1/2 gallon whole milk
  • 1 c. heavy whipping cream
  • 4 cups water
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Step 1

Brown sausage. Add onion and garlic and cook until done. In a large stock pot add potatoes to chicken broth and whole milk. Boil. Turn down to simmer and cook until potatoes are tender. Add sausage mixture. Simmer for 30 minutes. Season as desired with salt and pepper. Add kale and stir until thoroughly mixed. Stir in whipping cream. Serve and enjoy!
