Cracked Wheat Bread (Tana Bagshaw)

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Yeast
  • 1/4 cup Warm Water
  • 1/3 cup Oil
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 1 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 1/2 cup Warm Water
  • 6 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Set aside.

Combine oil, honey, salt, egg and warm water. Mix well.

Add 3 1/2 cups of flour to the water mixture. Mix well.

Add dissolved yeast. Mix well.

Add 3 remaining cups of flour.
Mix well.
Dough will be sticky.

Shape into two loaves.
Put in greased pans.
Cover with towel and let rise.

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
