Pecan Sandies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • whole pecans for decoration

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a large bowl beat together sugar, egg, butter and vanilla until creamy

In a separate bowl combine flour, salt and baking soda

With a mixer set on low, slowly add dry ingredients until just combined and then fold in the pecans.

Make 1 inch sized balls and place on a lined baking sheet. Top with whole pecans

Bake for 10-12 minutes.
