- 4 large apples
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Peel and quarter apples. Simmer in a large saucepan with water, breaking up apple wedges into small pieces as they cook. When mixture boils, add brown sugar and cinnamon. Cook and stir for 10 minutes, mashing apples with a fork. Remove from heat, cover, and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
