Ingredients
- 2 sticks oleo
- 2-1/4 c sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2-1/4 tsp vanilla
- 1-1/2 tbsp milk
- 3/4 tsp (1/2 & 1/4) salt
- 3-3/4 tsp (3-1/2 & 1/4) baking powder
- 5-1/4 c flour
Preparation
Step 1
Sift together dry ingredients (flour, baking powder & salt). Cream butter. Add sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Add extract. Add eggs one at a time; beating well after each addition. Alternately add flour mixture and milk. Beat until blended after each addition. Place dough in a covered refrigerated bowl and chill several hours or overnight.
Roll out parts and cut with cookie cutters. Sprinkle with granulated sugar or colored sugar.
Bake on ungreased baking sheet.
400 degree oven
8-9 minutes or until light brown.
Cool.
Makes 6-9 doz cookies depending upon size of cutters.
