• 1 cup butter, softened
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 3/4 cups sifted flour
• 2 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400˚F.

Mix together butter, sugar and eggs.

Mix together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt and add to wet ingredients.

Roll into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Bake until lightly browned but still soft. 8 to 10 minutes.
