Ingredients
- 4 sirloin steaks 6 oz. each
- 6 Tbs. butter, divided
- 4 shallots, finely chopped
- 2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- pepper
- parsley
Preparation
Step 1
Heat 4 Tbs. butter in skillet and when it's beginning to brown add steaks. Cook 3 minutes, turn and cook another 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer meat to serving dish, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add 2 Tbs. butter to skillet, add shallots, cooking until lightly browned. Add Worchestershire sauce, mustard, and brandy, and mushrooms, cooking until mushrooms are done. Put sauce over meat, and top with parsley.
This is a combination of several recipes. The flavor is good, but not sure of the cooking order. When I made this I did cook the steak first, but not sure if I added the mushrooms in with the shallots, cooked them and then added the brandy, or what??
