Ingredients
- 4 6 ounce skinless, boneless, chicken breasts
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 6 thin slices Swiss cheese
- 4 thin slices cooked ham
- 1/4 cup seasoned dried bread crumbs
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray an 11x7 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking
spray.
Pound each breast between two sheets plastic wrap to 1/4 inch thickness
with flat side of meat mallet.
Sprinkle each breast on both sides with salt and pepper. Put one cheese
slice and one ham slice on top of each breast. Roll up and secure with
toothpicks. Arrange in prepared baking dish and sprinkle bread crumbs
evenly over top.
Can get to this point and refrigerate covered for up to five hours. Let
stand for 30 minutes before baking.
Bake approzimately 35 minutes (to 160°F)
Cut remaining two cheese slices in half and put a half slice on each
chicken breast. Return to oven and bake until cheese is melted, five to
seven minutes more.
Remove toothpicks and serve immediately.
