***Pull Apart Loaves

My family cannot get enough of this bread! Make the night before and let rise in frig. overnight. I sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds on the loaves and bake just before serving — what a great scent to bring people to the table! Serve with LOTS of butter — Irish Kerrygold is great!.
Ingredients
- 5-6 cups unbleached, unsifted flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 packages Fleischmann’s Rapid Rise Yeast
- 1 c. milk
- 2/3 cup water
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 eggs, room temperature
- Sesame Seeds
- Poppy Seeds
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, thoroughly mix 2 c. flour, sugar, salt and yeast.

Combine milk, water and butter and heat until liquids are very warm (120F-130F).Butter does not need to melt.

Gradually add to dry ingredients and beat 2 min. at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally. Add eggs and ¾ c. flour. Beat at high speed 2 min., scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in enough flour to make a stiff dough.

Turn out onto a lightly floured board; knead until smooth and elastic,8-10 min. Cover with plastic wrap and then with a towel. Let rest 20 min.

Punch dough down. Divide into 2 equal pieces. Roll each piece of dough into a 9“x12” rectangle. Brush with melted butter. Cut each lengthwise into four pieces. Stack strips. Cut each stack into quarters. Place each quarter cut side up in buttered loaf pans, close together.

Brush the tops of the bread with melted butter. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of one loaf and poppy seeds on top of the other. Cover each pan loosely with plastic wrap.

Refrigerate 2-24 hours.

When ready to bake, remove from refrigerator. Uncover rolls carefully. Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes.

Bake in 375 degree oven for 40 minutes or until done. (You can gently pull a piece in the center apart to see if done- not doughy.)

Remove from baking pans and cool on wire rack
