  • c.melted butter

  • ½

    c. Frozen concentrated orange juice

  • 2

    c. white sugar

  • 2

    beaten eggs

  • 4

    teas. baking soda

  • ½ - 1

    teas. orange zest

  • 1

    teas. salt

  • 4

    c. flour


Melt butter. Add sugar and frozen orange juice. Stir. Let cool. Add eggs, baking soda, salt, orange zest. Stir after each addition. Add flour slowly. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate 2 - 3 hours or overnight. Preheat oven 350 degrees. Rack in middle of oven. Roll dough into walnut size balls. [These balls can be rolled in sugar before baking.] Place on greased cookie sheet about 2 or 3 inches apart. Press down slightly so balls don't roll. Bake 10 - 12 minutes. Let cook 2 minutes on cookie sheet. Remove to rack to finish cooling. These cookies freeze well. Yield about 10 dozen.
